When your surgery is initially scheduled, the clinics purposefully hold off on telling you what time your surgery is scheduled. We try to best accommodate both your schedule and our surgeon’s, meaning times may change up until a few days before the surgery date. Be aware the surgery time may shift slightly. You will be notified of the exact arrival and surgery times during your pre-admission phone call.
If the patient is over 18, it is not required, but highly recommended that someone accompany and stay with you while you are here. We do require someone to be present at the facility for all patients under the age of 18.
You must have someone physically present to review your discharge instructions and drive you home. Transportation services may be used.
You also may want to have a family member or friend at the facility as it is common practice for our surgeons to consult with them after the surgery is completed & answer any questions you or your family may have regarding your surgery or recovery.
There will be multiple people caring for you during your surgery. In addition to your surgeon and nurse(s), you may also be taken care of by our anesthesia staff (i.e., anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetists). Our anesthesia staff is a part of Anesthesiology, P.A. and bill separately from the facility & surgeon. If there is a need for pathology, durable medical equipment, radiology, etc., those charges will be billed separately as well. All in all, you may receive up to four bills after your surgery.
• For our facility charges, please contact our billing office at (877) 306-8485.
• For the Anesthesia charges, please contact Anesthesiology, P.A. at (763)559-3779.
• For the surgeon’s fee, please contact their clinic directly.
Absolutely! We know surgery can be stressful for children (and their parents). To help both you and your child understand the process and alleviate initial concerns, you can request a guided “teddy bear” tour of our facility. To set up a teddy bear tour, please contact our main line at (763) 581-9004.
You may receive a post-operative courtesy phone call from one of our nurses the day after your surgery to see how you are recovering. If you have any needs or concerns, please call your physician. For all medication prescription refills, call your surgeon’s office direct.
Please call your surgeons office directly for all prescription refills. That number should be listed on your discharge post-operative instructions given to you or your caregiver in recovery.
Please contact your surgeon’s office directly to make all appointments at their clinic. The North Memorial Ambulatory Surgery Center does not handle the schedule for their personal clinics.
Upon arrival, you will check-in with registration, who will ask for your insurance card and personal identification card. Please bring both as it is necessary for your record. If your surgery is filed under either work comp or an auto claim, please bring all pertinent claim information to compare with what we have on file. We obtain this information from your surgeon’s office when you are scheduled, but need confirmation the information we received is completely accurate in order to properly bill for your procedure.
