Charge Nurse – Preo-Op & PACU
FTE 0.8
Wage Range: $42.00-$60.00
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight in our fast-paced, multispecialty Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role supports safe patient care, efficient patient flow, staff coordination, and regulatory compliance while serving as a key liaison between nursing staff, anesthesia providers, surgeons, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of Pre-Op and PACU areas
- Coordinate daily staffing and patient flow to support on-time starts and efficient discharges
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and anesthesia providers
- Monitor patient readiness, recovery, and discharge criteria
- Ensure compliance with ASC policies and regulatory standards
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence
- Active participation in unit meetings and education
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum 3–5 years Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
- Prior charge nurse or leadership experience
- Current BLS/ACLS /PALS Required
- ASC or multispecialty perioperative experience preferred
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, position, and transfer patients
- Direct patient contact with possible exposure to communicable diseases

PRN Radiologic Technologist (As Needed)
We are seeking a skilled and dependable PRN Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging support on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate is experienced with C-Arm procedures, patient care, radiation safety, and working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and position the Large C-Arm safely and efficiently during procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, addressing questions, and positioning patients appropriately.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain radiologic imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and image quality.
- Follow radiation safety standards, infection-control procedures, and aseptic techniques to protect patients and staff.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining appropriate positioning and technique.
- Review images for quality, clarity, and completeness to ensure they meet diagnostic standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging support.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
- Follow all applicable facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach throughout all interactions.
Qualifications
- Current certification or credentialing as a Radiologic Technologist/X-Ray Technician.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, positioning, and radiologic procedures.
- Experience operating diagnostic imaging equipment, preferably including a Large C-Arm.
- Demonstrated ability to perform C-Arm procedures accurately, efficiently, and safely.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and infection-control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and established protocols precisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing clinical needs.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

What You’ll Do
- Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in preparing the operating room for scheduled procedures
- Gather, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instrumentation, equipment usage, and proper instrument care and cleaning
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs during procedures while maintaining an efficient sterile field
- Apply and maintain strict aseptic technique standards in the operating room
- Provide care and support for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Participate in continuing education and in-services to maintain and expand clinical skills
- Support a culture of teamwork, safety, and outstanding patient care
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technologist program
- One year of recent OR experience within the last 3–5 years preferred
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented surgical environment
